Who I am and what I believe.

I am fundamentally interested in philosophy and religion. The former is in fact theology, though I use to call it philosophy, since it often has a very similar method. I do love history as well, especially the age of Jesus and the first centuries of early Christianity.
I'm also a Bible translator, I have studied many years ancient Greek, Hebrew, Latin and Aramaic, and actually I still am translating and studying these languages. I consider myself a very curious person who fell in love with God, Whose love has been shown by and in Jesus Christ about 2000 years ago.

Though I do not like denominationalism nor any kind of "creed formula", here are a few points of my belief:
  • I believe in God the Father, in Jesus Christ (the Saviour of the World) and in the Spirit of God (That is, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, see Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19, 1Peter 1:2). I believe that God is love (1John 4:18) and that He's one (Deuteronomy 6:4). I believe that this Love has been manifested by Christ, and especially by His death (see later). I also believe that Jesus and the Father are one (John 10:30). I believe that this Love manifested by Christ is nowadays kindled in our hearts by the action of the Holy Ghost among and within us. I believe in all the gifts the Holy Spirit gives in order to spread this wonderful love, such as speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4), healings, prophecies (1Corinthians 12:28, 14:1-6) and so on.
  • I believe that with His death Christ purified the imperfection that Adam had shed upon all human beings. I believe human beings continually go astray and rebel to God, both in thoughts and actions, doing that which is biblically called "sin". Jesus, by dying on the cross, purified that imperfections that were created through Adam's and our rebellion toward God (Romans 5:10), making it "die" and making a new "mankind" born. This new mankind will be manifested at the end of times (Romans 8:19).
  • I believe that after His death Christ descended to Hades (The dwelling place of dead souls) to preach there the Good News and to free the souls that were there in order to take them to Heaven. Christ went to Hereafter (Hades in Greek) to preach also to the departed souls and to free them from the captivity they were led into by Adam (1Peter 3:19-20). Since Christ, through this preaching, would fill all places (Ephesians 4:10), His words still are in Hades, and anybody who enters Hades has the freedom to be set free as soon as he/she accepts the Good News.
  • I believe that after three days Jesus rose from the dead, coming back to life and ascending to Heavens. He rose again after three days from His death (Matthew 28), appeared to His disciples, ascended to Heaven and then appeared to Paul (Acts 9:1-22) and to five hundred people all together (1Corinthians 15:6), as well as to many other people during history.
  • I believe the Church to be the body of Jesus on earth, I believe it to be made of all the true believers, I believe it to be the "channel" for the blessing of the whole world and to be guided by the Holy Ghost. The Church is not a building, but rather all the true believers in Christ, and has as its leader Christ Himself. I believe that God blesses the world through the Holy Spirit guided-actions of the Church.
  • I believe in Judgement Day, when all souls will be judged righteously, but at the end there will be a restoration of all things (Acts 3:21), God will be all in all (1Corinthians 15:28) and every tongue will confess Jesus as Lord (Philippians 2:10).
